Alabama, 2010

I live in Central Alabama about 45 minutes outside of Birmingham. I’ve had multiple encounters over the years and one thing believe to be true about Bigfoot is they to like to play games with people.

I’ve been hunting since I was 8 years old and I am very good at tracking. Also I’ve always been able to move through the woods without making a sound. One day while I was stalk hunting I was on the trail of a rather large Whitetail buck. I was following the tracks and about 30 minutes of being on the trail of this buck, I stop and take a break.

I heard a twig snap behind me about 50-60 yards. Well seeing as how I’m on private property and my family owns the land, I thought it was my uncle or someone trying to scare me or something. So I doubled back around so I could come up behind him.

Well as I pull this maneuver I came up behind him alright! I was standing 4 feet away from the biggest blackest hairiest human looking non human that I’ve ever seen. I’m 6’6″ and this thing was easily 12 feet tall. I think I surprised him, because he let out the highest pitched scream or roar I’ve ever heard.

He had no hair on his face and very large pupils. And he high-tailed it out of there and was amazed as I’ve never seen something so big move like that. Since then I’ve ran across him a few times.

He tries to sneak up on me, but I’ll double back on him and when I get to close he’ll beat on trees or whoop really loud.  He’ll also knock on my camper walls, etc. It’s never anything aggressive or threatening, but more like he’s toying with me.

This property is near the railroad tunnel that John Henry allegedly raced the steam engine in. The city of Leeds Alabama has a museum dedicated to that.  I feel like it should be noted that the railroad company calls the crossing about 5 miles away “Bigfoot Crossing”.  They don’t have an official sign or anything, but I gathered that Bigfoot would gather on the sides of the tracks and watch the trains go by. Given the number of reports I guess the name stuck.
