Michigan, 2016

I have always been interested in Bigfoot. I don’t know why, but I have always believed, known, that they exist, somehow. I have always been a nature person and nature and animals are my therapy.

In 2016, before my divorce, I had an experience on our property. My family and I were on the back deck talking and facing the woods which were probably 100 yards away. Keep in mind, I have always loved Bigfoot, and my kids know it and teased me about it all the time. Well, my husband and I were standing there, and all of a sudden this really tall, probably 16” in diameter tree just fell over. I am not good at estimating the height of the tree, but it was really tall.

In red is the approximate trail and where the tree went down. The dogs used to stare out in the woods like that all the time.

When it fell, after being shocked for a moment or two, I ran to the house door, opened it and screamed to my daughter, “Ashley!!!! BIGFOOT!!!!” My husband laughed and said that it was just a dead tree. I said I had to check it out and started out to the trail, which led off of our yard and up into the woods maybe 50 yards and then made a “u” around and back down to the yard. There are other trails that go off of that trail also, up near the top of where I made the “u.”

My daughter caught up to me and asked what happened. I told her that a tree went down. As we were walking up there, just before the woods, the grass turned into a more dirt area, with some grass on it. My daughter told me to look. I went to her and she pointed out a track.

The ground there was extremely hard. I couldn’t leave a footprint at all.

I put my foot next to it and said, “It WAS Bigfoot!!” My husband just laughed again. My daughter didn’t know what to say. We marveled for a minute, and looked for other tracks. Not seeing any, we then walked up to where the tree was.

That tree was NOT dead, and it was broken off about 9 feet up. I KNOW that BIGFOOT must have broken that tree off!

The BFRO actually invited me to go on a 4 day expedition with them. I didn’t ever file the official report with them. I don’t remember why. It was something about the website. I think I had trouble with it somehow. I also sent it to Dr. Jeff Meldrum. He said it was hard to tell anything from a picture. I should have cast it, but I didn’t have anything to do it with and had no experience doing that anyway.

We had many, many weird things go on around there. Many of them happened to my son, because he would be out in the early morning smoking as he wasn’t allowed to smoke in the house. He woke me up a few times after seeing things. I had told him if he ever saw anything else, after the first time, to wake me up.

The red eyes were just across the driveway, and a little to the right. There is a house back there, but it wasn’t that. I made sure and the eyes were close to the road.

One time he saw many sets of red eyes glowing across the road. There is a lake across the road and orchards up behind our house. So they probably came through our yard and crossed the road to get to the water. The eyes just kept watching him. I have to add that you cross the road and right after the shoulder is woods, but the ground drops off after the shoulder. So there is a very steep drop off there. They would have had to have been standing on that steep slope when he saw them, which had to have made them very tall. He would see them blink, and after seeing the first couple sets, there were more. I don’t remember anymore than that.

There were other things too. He and his girlfriend both lived with us in the finished basement. In the winter, they would go out and sit in his car to smoke with it running, because it was warmer. They would hear footsteps come from behind, and walk right up to the car and past it without them seeing anything! They both said that it sounded clearly like a person walking and crunching the snow. NO FOOTPRINTS!

He had so many weird things happen during the nights when they were out there. I can’t even remember them all. Also, we always had tons of wildlife; deer, fox, coyotes, all kinds of stuff, but after seeing that track, nothing. We didn’t have deer for years after that. Even the squirrels disappeared for a while. The wildlife was just starting to come back before the divorce. FYI; we lived maybe 1/2 mile from a county park. There were streams, ponds and woods with lots of wildlife.

I’m not sure if there is a connection, but should mention that I also had a UFO experience as a child. I think sometimes that they are related, and then sometimes I don’t. Lol!
