Josh Highcliff, 2013
This video is from a channel called “Josh Highcliff” and was uploaded to YouTube on October 23, 2013. It is the only video on his channel and he has no contact information and appears to be missing in Bigfoot action! He has a Facebook page under that name on the same date, but there is no activity since its creation. With this many claim hoax. I feel the video content is to good to be ignored and don’t see it as fake.
It has been analyzed by Bigfoot Tony , MK Davis and Phil Poling. Of those breakdowns only Phil claims it is not conclusive and possible BS. I respect all three opinions! FYI, this is not a breakdown! Just my opinion and in my version I’ve removed what I consider to be unnecessary footage and cut right to the chase. I see only one Bigfoot. I don’t see a face only the backside.
My first point of interest is the audio which not only corresponds to every little sound, like when it flips the smaller pieces in the water to its right, but when it rips that huge piece off the trunk you can practically feel it. Honestly it has the sound of a very hard piece of wood being broken in a slow an methodical manner. Sustainable/substantial strength would certainly be required, more so than an average man! However, I guess Lou Ferrigno could do it, but that takes me to my second point. I don’t feel it’s a suit.
Can you imagine wearing a Bigfoot costume in the middle of a Mississippi swamp in October how awkward that would be, not to mention hot. This is besides the fact that you may be shot. Also there are poisonous snakes with fangs that would easily bite right through it. Beside that it doesn’t seem logical, it moves really smooth and often very quickly making moves I don’t feel you would make in a wet, cumbersome costume.

01:02 It stands up to rip a hunk on the left side and did you see how fast it flick it away? Most importantly; it stood up!!! Was that not convincing enough? You can see debris stuck to its back!
01:16 It pulls out something shiny. I actually seen a comment saying it was obviously a person in a suit because you could see it had a cell phone. Really? I’m hoaxing a Bigfoot film and I’m carrying my cell phone around? Not to mention risking losing it. Clearly the “shiny” thing was pulled from within the tree trunk. So then it looks it over and instead of throwing it in the drink like it did with the wood it set it down for safe keeping.
Everything I see in this video is consistent with a massive humanoid/primate being that is incredibly strong ripping an old trunk apart, looking for some grub.
That was pretty much it. What I cut out was more shaky stuff, the written warning that he hit the “record” button by mistake and that he was scared. One last point.

Here is exactly what I seen, I’m not sure what it is but can someone please tell me? Is there a person who can do video analyses or something? I got scared and ran away, i wish i stayed to keep taking the movie.
Date: october 24 – 2013
Where: about 9 miles west of Tunica, Mississippi on my hunting property
Time: about 6pm
I was out hunting hogs, just sitting in a part of the swamp i have heard em before…it is not too far from a road. I was wearing hunting camo and just sitting dead still waiting for it to get dark, cause thats when the hogs come out. I hear a noise behind the tree i was sitting on, i thought it was the hogs, when i got around i could not believe my own two eyes.
There was this huge black thing crouched by a dead cypress about 50 yards away, i thought it was a hog but saw these big shoulders and a head upright with hands. It looked like it was digging out the stump. My first instinct was to run, i did not even think of shooting…then i know no one will believe me…it was like everything slowed down…i was scared! I took out my iphone and started videotaping it..i guess i pushed the record button twice cause it stopped blinking red.. but i pushed it again. I hear a truck driving down the road and the thing stood up!! I was trying to be dead quiet…when it stood up i could not control myself and ran. That stump was huge and i’d guess the sucker was 7feet tall, i am a hunter and am pretty darn good at guessing size.
that’s no bear!
I don’t know what to think.. if someone can tell me what it is or if somone was trying to prank me i, I don’t want to go back on my land. this is the first movie i have ever put on youtube..the video looks better on my phone and computer
I always heard stories of skunk ape and honey island swamp monster from these parts but never thought about it being real ever.
has anyone seen anything like this in mississippi?
